Reinventing forms with a travel AI agent

Forms have long been a staple of digital experiences, but let’s be honest they’re often boring. Whether it’s a product configurator, a sign-up flow, or a service wizard, filling out forms can quickly become a chore.

We’ve been exploring a concept that brings a fresh take to this experience by combining two modern interface techniques: AI agents (also referred to as human interfaces) and traditional user interfaces.

Instead of just presenting a static form, this approach uses a hybrid model: a conversational AI agent guides the user, while visual UI elements present clear options. The result is a more dynamic, human-like interaction layered with visual support, helping users better understand their choices in an intuitive way.

By weaving together conversation and visuals, the experience becomes:

  • More engaging. It feels like a dialogue, not a data entry session.
  • More accessible. With voice recognition and voice controls, users can navigate using speech, opening the experience to a wider audience.
  • More conversational. The AI agent can adapt to user responses, offering a sense of flow and personalization that traditional forms simply can’t match.

To show how this can work in practice, we created a unique demo focused on the travel industry.

You can watch it here:

In this concept, a digital travel agent chats with you about your preferences, from dream destinations to favorite activities, while a visual interface displays suggestions and choices. By the end of the conversation, you’re presented with a curated list of holiday ideas tailored to your interests.

The possibilities don’t stop at travel. This hybrid model could be adapted to many industries, wherever choice, personalization, and accessibility are key to a better customer experience.
